How CallKin works

Once you have a CallKin band, here's what happens on the app side, from unboxing to your first scan.

   Get your band

   CallKin bands aren't available to order yet, we'll open sales as soon as we're ready. Each one will ship with a unique tag and no personal information printed or stored on it. The steps below cover everything that happens once you have one.

   Create your account

   Sign up as a guardian with your name, phone number, and email. This takes about a minute and doesn't require the band yet.

   Add a dependent

   Add a first name and pick an avatar color for the person the band is for, usually your child. We don't ask for a last name, a photo, or any medical details.

   Tap the band to claim it

   Scan the band with your phone once while logged in. That links the band's tag to your dependent's profile. No app to install, just a regular NFC-enabled phone.

   Anyone who scans it sees only what you chose to share

   If the band is ever found, a tap opens a page showing your name and phone number, nothing more, unless you've chosen to hide even that.

   Turn on lost mode if you need to

   If the band, or the person wearing it, goes missing, flip the lost-mode toggle in your dashboard. Anyone who scans the band then sees a clear alert alongside your contact details.
